As the Father of a son who was not only passionate about the performing arts, but who also benefited hugely in terms of personal development, confidence and friendships, from participating in various forms of Theatre Schools and agencies, we decided to form our own Youth Theatre Company in 2016. Our ethos of allowing our students to develop their own shows, build on their strengths, discover their unknown potential and just be the best “You That YOU Can be”, proved hugely successful in our area.
Before long, we decided the time was right to form our own Agency and began the process of becoming an approved Spotlight Agent together with membership of The Entertainment Agents Association. By 2018, we were up and running concentrating mainly on working with our in-house performers as we felt and still feel, knowing our clients is essential.
A chance meeting with our Agency Head, Sarah-Lee Jones, brought rapid change. Having previously worked as a Casting Producer, her knowledge of the industry and contacts, combined with her enthusiasm for Sirius and amazing work ethic, meant it was time to explore further opportunities.
Now working with performers of all ages and backgrounds, whilst also expanding across the United Kingdom and Ireland, we are always on the lookout for new diverse and enthusiastic talent. The post Covid world has made the industry far less London centric and with the growth in online auditioning, allowing far easier access to the opportunities the industry has to offer, we have also seized on this by offering online auditions to join our books across the year.
Our controlled growth, together with our insistence on getting to know our clients’, regular ongoing development reviews and a focus on matching the right client to the right opportunity, has resulted in demand for our services growing day on day.
To reflect where our company now positions itself within the sector, in February 2024, Sirius Young Performers Limited became Sirius Casting Agency Limited.
We make ourselves available to our clients whenever possible, listening to and acting on feedback, working tirelessly to aid in our clients’ dreams and being there to support their journey.
